FCA Sports HTX Recognition
Sports can tell us who scored the most points, made the biggest play, or won the game. But at FCA Sports HTX, we believe the scoreboard only tells part of the story. We want to celebrate not only how young people perform, but who they are becoming.
More Than Performance
Young athletes live in a world that can quickly connect identity with performance—points scored, goals made, games won, rankings, trophies and applause.
FCA Sports HTX wants young people to know something deeper: their value is not determined by athletic ability or achievement. They possess God-given value, purpose and influence before the game ever begins.
That's why our MVP recognition emphasizes leadership and integrity over performance alone. The person we celebrate may or may not be the most skilled or talented athlete.
Who you are becoming matters more.

Beyond The Game
Sports reveal things a stat sheet never will. How does a young person respond after making a mistake? Do they encourage a teammate? Help someone up? Put the team first? Serve others? Compete with excellence?
Those moments help us see something bigger than athletic ability.
Character Has A Standard
Character isn't an abstract idea. These seven values help define what it looks like in action. They are more than expectations for athletes—they are commitments for everyone in the FCA Sports HTX Village.
No player wins alone. No goalkeeper succeeds without defenders. No scorer succeeds without teammates creating opportunities. No coach builds a program without parents, schools and community. We need one another. We are the Village.

Character Beyond Competition
Character isn't limited to game day. It shows up at practice, in the classroom, at home, in the hallway, around teammates and in the way a young person treats others.
Leadership is influence. The way young people speak, serve, compete, encourage and treat others can make a difference.
And because coaches can't see every moment, developing young people requires more than a coach.
The MVP Behavioral Report
Coaches see young people in practices and games. Teachers see them in classrooms. Parents see them at home. Principals and school staff see them on campus. Community leaders see them serving and interacting with others.
The MVP Behavioral Report gives our Village a way to celebrate players who live out our Core Values, recognize academic achievement, and identify moments when accountability and growth are needed.
In Action?
Tell us about a young person who encouraged someone, helped a teammate, served others, demonstrated integrity, achieved academically, responded well to correction, or lived out one of our Core Values.
Reports may also be used to identify behavior that requires accountability and an opportunity for growth.
Submit a Behavioral Report →A Behavioral Report provides information for FCA Sports HTX to consider as part of our character recognition process. Submission does not automatically result in MVP / Player of the Month recognition.
MVP / Player of the Month
Player of the Month celebrates consistent character and leadership throughout the season. Our MVP recognition honors a young person who best embodies the Core Values—regardless of individual skill or team record.

Reinforce the character and leadership we want young people to carry forward.
Recognition With A Purpose
Recognition is not the destination. It is an opportunity to affirm what is developing in a young person's life and encourage them to keep growing in character, purpose and influence.
The Bigger Win
Sports give us a platform to develop more than athletes. We want young people to know who they are, discover their God-given purpose, grow in character and understand how their lives can influence the world around them.
